Awwww....that was nice....and you really can tell a polite beep from an annoying honk!
Debbie: A very nice gesture. But paying to paying and paying Starbucks prices...ouch!!!LOL
That was nice. An invitation to save money...regardless of amounttaht is always good!
Hi Debbie,
I have not been in a "Starbucks" in I don't know how long. And Anne is right. The prices. And their "black coffee is terrible". But that's just me, I think.
Best, Clint McKie
Hi Debbie, What a nice way to start off your week! Always nice when someone pays it forward. Enjoy the rest of your week.
Gita - LOL, I think you're right.
Sally & David - Yes, you really can.
Anne - Oh I know, that's why I generally try to avoid this one, but it was so convenient to where I coming from and going to.
Gary - Yes, it certainly is!
Clint - We I get the lighter drinks and now they have blonde coffee which I think tastes great.
Certainly a nice gesture. If you really stop and think about it, there are a lot of nice people out there. I have worked very hard over the years to bring many of them into my circle of business partners.
Gary - yes, it is, and I hope to do the same today.
Joe - Yes, there are and I have been doing the same. Great minds think alike.
Joanna - Yes, it really was.
Very nice for sure. Small acts of kindness go a long way and it is contagious!
Good morning Debbie. What a great story. It is so frequently the little things that can turn a regular day into a good one.
Hooray for small acts of kindness! That guy definitely has some good karma coming his way. The most fun part, in my opinion, is the moment when you pay it forward for the next person - however you do it!
Kathy - Yes, they are for sure. I'm still telling people about it.
Sheila - I so agree with you.
Mary - Yes, I'm looking forward to that. I just have to figure out the right opportunity.
Debbie - This guy paid it forward... You know how it works my friend. Now it's your turn... Pay it forward in some way, shape, form or fashion. Don't break the goodness cycle. Make it a great day in all you do!
Pay it forward! It's nice gestures like that that remind me the world is still a pretty nice place.
John - Yes, I definitely will.
Bryan - Yes, I love it. And, need to do stuff like this more often.
It's random acts of kindness like this one that you've mentioned that consistently restores my faith in humanity and proves my theory that people are inherently good and will do the right thing given the choice.
Ah, what a nice little "pick me up" in addition to the 'Bucks! Love it when nice things like that happen. And love it when I can do it for others too.
Deb, there's a bit of an inconsistency in not wanting to pay for parking yet having coffee at Starbucks?
Hearing about the nice gesture that you experienced actually cheered me up a bit. Good for you and thank you.
Deb, you are right it is not the quarter ... the kind gesture makes your day
Hey Debbie...thanks for sharing such a positive experience. I'm one of those overly nice types who does the cute toot and beep and let's people take the tail end of my meter change. We're the one's who see a meter about to expire next to the one we're filling and put a quarter in to save someone a ticket. It's Karma, baby. Glad you got the benefit and you deserve it!
Coral - yes, it was a nice surprise and a double win
Ed - No,...I'm afraid I'm going to get a ticket by forgetting to put money in the meter. Some are only good for 1 hour...and yes, I have forgotten and gotten tickets.
Mark - Oh good, I'm so glad to hear that.
Deepak - Yes, exactly.
Hillary - Yes, I know you are. that's one of the many reasons I like you.
That's called the Golden Rule! And it is especially nice when we see the Golden Rule employed in the business world.
This was a nice way of someone paying it forward! Like you said, it's not the amount it's the gesture.
Have an AWESOME day!
Debbie, it is amazing how a small gesture can change your entire outlook, did you pay it forward?
Great post and I find you generally find what you seek, you obviously are a nice person and you were probably being paid back subcutaneously
Jay - Yes, s true, and I guess it's kind of rare there, so it really sticks out when it happens.
Michael - Yes, exactly.
Chris - Yes, it certainly is.
Charles - Oh thank you. That is so sweet.
There are so many nice people in the world but people usually write about unpleasant people. Thanks for the post.
