Still Getting Comments Almost 4 Weeks Later: The Power of Blogging

By

ReadersMany posts have been written addressing the far-reaching effects of blogging.  Blogging is not something that typically produces immediate results and instead, requires commitment, patience, persistence, and continuity.  Although there are many who support the monumental benefits of blogging, there are still some who question its value.  If you are on the proverbial fence about whether or not blogging matters -- this post is for you.

I realize that I may never see this many comments on another post for the rest of my life.  On February 11, 2012, I posted this blog.  The post was featured and consequently, it received numerous comments.  However, that's not the best part!  As of yesterday, I am still receiving comments!  And, still receiving clicks too!  Which goes to show that just because someone isn't commenting ... doesn't mean that someone isn't reading.
Numbers don't lie.

BlogSnip
ActiveRain has taught me a tremendous amount about the blogging world.  Since posting my first blog on October 31, 2011, I have learned so much as I continue to travel down this exciting and winding road.  Yet, one thing I can confirm for sure:  you never know when someone will read one of your blogs.  Or, i
n my case, you never know when someone will read one of your blogs and leave a comment -- almost 4 weeks later!

Have you received comments for extended periods of time after first posting a blog?  What was the topic for that blog?  Comment here and share how far into the future someone was still reading.  And, still reading.  And, still reading!

Go, Carie.  I wish one of mine would do as well.  But, congratulations to you.  Think how many new subscribers you got along the way, too.

Carie - I have Liked and Suggested my friend.  Great job on pointing out how important it is to keep track of ALL our numbers in the Rain!  To answer your question YES I'm indeed still getting comments on a Feature about Google Maps I posted last month.  Bring it on.....  The more readers, clickers and stalkers the better.  Well ... You get what I'm saying I really don't feel up to dealing with any stalkers right now :)   Great Job my friend.

Ron:  Thanks ... I just wanted to show that you never know when someone will read one of your blogs.  Even if it's way down the road!

John:  As always, thank you for your thoughtful comment.  And, thank you for the "Suggest" too!  I wrote this because it was just so fascinating to me -- the fact that I would still be receiving comments after so long!  Readers and Clickers and Stalkers ... Oh My :)  As you said, Bring It On!
