What Makes A Great Real Estate Agent?

By
Real Estate Agent with Realty Executives Tri County, Bellingham MA

With all this nice weather coming our way, many of you will be thinking of making a move. That it is selling or buying a home/ condo/ duplex. How will you choose your agent? What will make you want to deal and do business with “the” agent? What quality, qualifications, and characteristics will you be looking for?

Chances are you will be seeing, talking and dealing with this agent for the next six months. You must build a great business relationship based on trust. I cannot say how important this is enough times.

Please! Go ahead. Write to me your thoughts. What are you looking for? Tomorrow, I will share with you some of those answers and later, will share what we; real estate agents, are looking for in a great client.

It is a business association that can only end successfully if both parties are on board. Simple.

It is a gorgeous morning here in New-England. We may even beat some hold record for high temperature at this time of year. So even though many of you may not be in front of this screen for too long today, I am hoping for many responses. Fingers crossed!

I believe what makes a great agent is one who can keep the deal going and close it.

Hi Lydie -  I was hoping to see more responses here !!  Everyone must be out enjoying the nice weather :0)    I remember prior to being a Realtor, I wanted someone who wouldn't waste my time.  Would listen and really hear what I needed and was going to be a great negotiator.   Trust was not a given.  That had to be felt on day one but it was something that was earned during the process.   I have fired many a Realtor, LOL.   I am a very good judge of character and I do not suffer fools gladly.  Buying property is a huge thing and the right connection needs to be made from the beginning.
