Calling All Cats! The Cats and Crafts Cat Show is Coming on March 24-25, 2012
in New Port Richey-FL

There will be an all-breed Cat Show under the rules of the International Cat Association. And, there will be cats and kittens for adoption from local shelters including the SPCA Suncoast. And, the SPCA Suncoast will have cats and kittens in the show!

The event hosted by Helping Paws, Inc. and Mystical Moon Cat Club will take place at the All Sports Arena, 7716 Rutillo Ct., New Port Richey, FL. Please bring cat food donations for the rescue organizations.

Saturday, March 24 it is open from 10am-4pm; Sunday, March 25 10am-1pm. Admission is $4. $1 of the admission will go to rescue groups. Visit the website for more info.

Toni - first I have to say that the strawberries on your site have my mouth watering and luckily I happen to have some and will eat them right after I comment, lol! Anything with animals is something I support and am interested in. I used to have cats, but my son is allergic. I miss having them so much buy go visit my moms all the time.

It seems like public awareness is much higher than it used to be, about the plight of homeless cats and dogs who need to be rescued. In fact, I heard somewhere that the number of animals put to death in shelters is much less than it used to be. Cats and Crafts sounds like a great time for people who fancy fancy cats, and everyday cats, too.

John - maybe you'll get there next year. I will be working the SPCA table.

Alexandra - I am going to be there as a volunteer so I will be taking pictures.

Kristine - I'm sorry you can't have a kitty but it's great that you have a surragate cat to visit! Enjoy the strawberries.

Kwee - there are cat shows all over. There's a huge one each year in St. Pete.

Joan - Hope you are feeling more invincible today. You are awesome. You have to post a picture of your cat clock for me :)

Belinda - yes!!! Always on the lookout for a way to find homes for our homeless.

Dianne - we even take a few of the shelter cats for the domestic competition. We are a "no-kill" facility so our shelter keeps them till we find a home for them.

Rebecca - There is a huge, huge cat show in New York city each year.

Jennifer - cat shows have been going on for years but they don't get the publicity that the dog shows do.

Dale - thank you. I think it will be fun and I'll be posting it afterwards.

Jennifer - I did too but it didn't work out so I get my animal love this way :)

Patricia - I hope it's a heaven that allows cats and dogs :)
