Equator Messaging Tips

Each communication that you send through the Equator system gets filed and permanently savedAgents, Vendors, and Servicers all have convenient access to any messages and attachments that have been sent throughout the property’s history.  Using the Equator messaging system also allows you to send a message to each person working on the property or even to multiple roles at the same time.  This makes messaging everyone on the Servicer’s team easier, and also lets the Agent ensure that each person receives all messages for the property.  Sending a message through Equator is simple:

Select the Property Address Link of the desired property.

Click "Add Message" on the right side of the property header.

Select a recipient from the scroll bar or to select multiple recipients, hold the control key while clicking.

Enter Subject and Body information.

Add any attachments you would like to send.

Click on the “Send Message” button.

Remember that any message that you send on your property will remain in the message repository and will not be deleted.  The same is true for any attachments sent through the messages.  Sometimes when the property process has many messages in the repository, it can be difficult to locate a specific attachment. You can always check the property library under the “Messages” section to view attachments that were sent through the messages.  Equator recommends to always use the Equator messaging system while working on your properties;  not only does it allow you to have a record of everything that occurred on your property, it also creates accountability and transparency for each person working on the property with you.

Stay tuned next week for more Equator tips and tricks!
