Multitasking and Driving Don't Mix

Multitasking

What's the craziest thing you've seen someone do while driving?  Another close call on the road today.  Amazing what people MUST do while behind the steering wheel of a car.  For everyone's safety -- please just drive, okay?  Thank You.

Honesty, Integrity, Results, Experienced. HIRE Me!

You're exactly right but I must smile as my wife always warns clients / friends buckle up and don't let him multi task while driving!  You know how it goes as a Realtor® we have clients in the SUV, driving, reading the MLS directions, answering the phone with blue tooth of course, listening to clients commenting and thank goodness for the art of driving with a on knee on the wheel all at once.  Hanging my head in shame yet again.  Isn't this twice today you've made me feel like a dawg?  LOL..... Hey but I never drive and apply makeup at the same time:)

Most communities around Chicago now have some restriction on mobile phone use while driving. Evanston, Il (Northwestern university) is considering no phone use even hands free.

There's no place like home.

Apparently the craziest thing I've ever done while driving .. was to just drive.  No radio, no phone... no nuthin.  Just drive.

John:  Awww ... I didn't mean to make you feel bad ... twice! :)  You sound like quite a talented driver, John.  As long as you aren't applying makeup while driving ....

David:  I've heard of those restrictions.  I wonder how that's working?

Alan:  "Just driving" sounds swell to me.  My situation involved a cell phone, nail polish, and a foot.  You do the math :)

Carie, you are so right about this one.  And I think many of us are the worst offenders.

Guilty!!  However, the worst thing I have seen is someone eating a bowl of cereal whilst shaving!

We've seen it all and so many close calls... from texting, to dialing, to shaving, to combing hair, to drinking, to eating, to changing the radio  to talking and to even dancing in the car.

Be safe when you drive!

Margaret

Carie, this says it all. We do need to be very careful and just drive while we are in the car. All those other things are just distractions that cause accidents.

I am constantly seeing people texting, talking or just looking at their phone.

Patricia:  I know it's tempting to do other stuff while driving.

Alison:  You are not the only guilty one :)

Margaret:  Good advice ... "Be safe when you drive"!

Jerry:  So easy to get distracted while driving.  Just too dangerous and not worth it!

Kristin:  I know ... I've walked across the street and had people almost hit me because their car is rolling toward the intersection while they are staring down at their phones!

I'll admit...  I am guilty of this!  I have been working on it, but still do it from time to time.  I'll try to focus!

Guilty as charged. I use my phone while driving, but never when my daughter is in the car. She'll be driving soon, and I'm trying to set a good example. Of course she's there to dial and answer the phone for me. I once saw someone driving down the highway reading a book. Unbelievable.

It's such a bad habit.  It's hard to break but my kids remind me, Dad don't do it.
