Easy, Elegant Winter Wonderland Tree

By
Real Estate Agent with Dove Realty Inc.

Christmas TreeHere's how to create this elegant, easy Christmas Tree:

-1,000 mini white lights
-150 - 200 clear, plastic icicles (The Dollar Store usually has a good variety)
-FiberFill
-Artificial Snow

Begin by putting lights on tree, starting from the top down. Be sure to use lots and lots of lights - 1,000 is good for a medium-sized tree. You want the tree to glow through the snow once you're finished.

Hang icicles from tips of branches. Fluff the FiberFill and place strategically along tree limbs in clumps to represent snow. Finish the tree by sprinkling with artificial snow!

Barbara: Thanks and it works really well on a less than perfect tree. You can fill in the bare spots with extra fiberfill.

Bret and Meredith: Thanks for the comment and I love your logo. Whoever did it has a great eye.

Deborah: Thanks Deborah. Since we rarely have snow here I had to come up with my own.

Susan,

That is one of the most elegant trees I have ever seen.  It's sooooo beautiful!  Now I want to get another tree so I can try it out!  Thanks for posting this.

It's a beauty Susan!  Bookmarked so that I can remember it for next Christmas.  Thanks for the post of the photo!  I've promised to do a tree for a local boys and girls club auction, next year, and I think that this treatment is just perfect and it will be different than all of the others.

Very pretty, and the white doesn't detract from the decor of the home! Thanks!

What a beautiful tree.  I think I will put up the artificial tree I have in the basement and get started.  Thanks Susan.  You always have such great ideas.

Kathy: Check out www.LightKeeper.com. It's a nifty little tool that fixes strands of Christmas lights.

Suzanne: Thanks and they are almost as wonderful as children and quite a bit easier.

Michelle: It's pretty easy. the hardest part is putting on the lights and you can avoid that chore if you get a pre-lite artificial tree. I just haven't been able to do that yet.

I absolutely LOVE the simplicity of this!  When you say sprinkle with snow, do you mean the kind you spray?  I can't wait to try it!

Susan, what a lovely tree and for those in an area where there is not much ( or none ) snow, this is a way to have the best of both worlds...I am going to keep for next year...

Nice tree!  and I love that it is in the entry area.  Who would have thought that fiber fill could make a tree look so good?

Karen: Sometimes I have too many ideas for my own good.

Julianna: Be careful, you could end up like my girlfriend who puts up 8 or 9 trees every year.

Mary Lou; It reminds me of growing up in Michigan.

Kristina: My front door has a big glass window so it looks really pretty from the street too.

Susan, that's a lovely tree, very sophisticated. I've use fluffy white feathers on my tree to represent snow.

Thanks for sharing!

Cynthia: Feathers are a good idea too. I once used the silk from dried milkweed pods. It was very difficult to control though.

Marci: Thanks so much. I think it would work for a house that's on the market too.
