Debbie, I hope that Ardsley NY homeowners now know that you are the Flooring Girl in all respects and to pick up the phone and call you now.
Please tell us if you ever get a call to refinish someones laminate (wood, they think) flooring. I saw that happen here in San Diego and we couldn't stop laughing (not in front of the H.O.). Don't know who ended up paying for that one, the handiman or the homeowner.
Debbie, Dustless refinishing ... wow. That would definitely be worth the extra charge. The first step is to hire The Flooring Girl and get the advice needed to make the right decisions.
Re comment #4 - it's my understanding that if the layer thickness of laminate is thick enough, it can be redone. If it is thick enough, it can be redone several times. The less expensive laminate with a very thin layer cannot. This is where getting all the information necessary before making a purchase is critical. Only a flooring expert would know this or someone, like me, who was educated by a flooring expert.
Deb, hope your hving a good week and business is good! The Flooring Girl, knows her Floors!
Ginny - Thx so much.
Michael - LOL, yeah you can't refinish that (although I have gotten requests/questions about that).
Kathleen - Yes, dustless makes a huge difference. Re: your point, laminate CAN'T be refinished (it's fake - just a picture so nothing to refinish) whereas SOME engineered hardwood CAN be refinished and that depends on the thickness of the wear layer. People get the terms confused. I wrote a post about this a year and half ago. I'll have to find and resurrect that.
Ellen - Yes, we've been extremely busy.
Why am I not surprised that Super Service is a hallmark of your company ?
