Cutting through the noise...

By
Real Estate Agent with Real Estate One

“It’s so easy to get lost these days in the shuffle and the noise.”  (Kurt Kaiser) from the Jack's Winning Words blog. Jack is a retired Lutheran Pastor, so he went on to provide guidance about finding oneself through Christ.

As a Realtor I occasionally get that lost in the shuffle and noise feeling; maybe we all do from time to time. Then my phone will ring or I'll get an email from someone who saw something that I do to rise above the noise - maybe they read my newsletter or they visited one of my web sites or they saw an AR blog post of mine or a Tweet on Twitter. Whatever is was I am reminded that if I keep on doing those things people will find me midst all of the shuffle and noise.

It has to be confusingly noisy for our clients too, with so many other Realtors shouting Me, Me, ME at them. Sometimes it's the quiet voice of experience and confidence that stands out in the noise. That's the voice that I choose to use in this noisy environment. Sometimes what you don't shout out comes across load and clear in your message.

How do you keep from getting lost in the shuffle and noise?

Nice post, Norm. You're right! There is SO MUCH noise out there and so many options for us to spend $$$$ to create more noise too. I am committed to making my actions meet my words & intentions... and it seems to be working. It's "free" and it's a "low noise" option i prefer.
