Evergreen neighbors shine in the midst of the Blizzard

To live in Evergreen is truly to live in a Colorado small town. Nothing brings our town together more than a few feet of snow. We feel the excitement of the impending snowfall and can't wait to get out the shovels, snowblowers, and even the snow shoes and skis to go out and enjoy the beauty of the storm. Below is a photo taken in the Hiwan neighorhood on Friday, December 29, 2006, at the tail end of blizzard number 2. Three neighbors and their snowblowers cleared the way to make the street accessible as the neighborhood kids take a hike through it all.

Good post Lisa.  My brother and his family live in La Junta, Co, and have gotten well over twenty inches in the last few days with very high snow drifts. Nothing like winter in Colorado!  Happy New Year!
