GREEN Gift Wrapping

By
Real Estate Agent with Windermere Real Estate

What are you doing to get ready for the holidays?  Surely, you're wrapping up your presents with pretty, colorful wrapping paper, and tying them with bows and ribbon.  Here are some ways you can wrap greener!

  • Wrap with recycled newspapers, cloth, or paper grocery bags
  • decorate your own wrapping materials!
  • re-use wrapping paper and bows and ribbons from past gifts
  • make your own gift bags using recycled paper sacks, and decorating them yourself

These are just a few tips to save a few trees, and make your Christmas a little greener!   As always, please feel free to comment if you have questions or anything to add.

Hi Jonelle - I love your post! I used to get so mad at my Mom for making me wrap my books in brown paper bags! When my kids went to school that was cool...they WANTED me to use brown paper! I still love to wrap gifts in newspaper...such a waste to purchase that pretty stuff in the store! I would rather see my dollars go towards the gift rather than what ends up in the trash! Great post! and timely!!!
