March 2012 Schaumburg Illinois Real Estate Statistics - Single Family Homes, Townhomes, Land
This was written on March 14, 2012 - so that you can compare it to our current report as of July 2012 which will be posted here next..: Currently - there are 246 single family homes on the market in Schaumburg, ranging in price from $106,000 to $2,250,000.
During the past month - 17 properties have closed, ranging in price from $165,000 to $475,000. There are currently 83 properties under contract - of which quite a few are short sale properties (that may not close at all.)
In the townhome and condo market in Schaumburg, there are currently 312 listed properties ranging in price from $29,000 to $950,000. During the past month - 43 properties closed, ranging in price from $40,000 to $525,000. A total of 153 condos and townhomes are under contract (many of which are short sale properties that have languished under contract for months.)
There are 13 listings for land, raging in price from $99,000 to $1,600,000, though no land has closed during the past month. There is no land under contract in Schaumburg at the moment.
The market is certainly starting to heat up - with many more buyers looking for properties as the temperatures warm. (We are receiving quite a few calls from buyers wanting to use our services lately, and have just a few more openings for clients.)
