Most buyers of real estate looking to invest in their home or secondary residence in the Coachella Valley do not understand that what they really need is not just a Real Estate Agent, rather they need a consultant who understands the Valley here. And believe me there is a lot to know and it is paramount to keep up on the changes in the local market.

Each city has its own dynamics, growth, way of living and within those cities are micro-communities. You can have whatever you want, its all here, but you need someone who knows the feel of these neighborhoods to attain that dream life you are looking for.

You see there is quite a mix of potential properties from high-end 15,000 square foot and up super mansions to condominium communities. There are up-scale snowbird Motor Coach communities, 55 and over gated communities and on the golf course single-family dwelling luxury homes. Indeed, there are also soccer family middle class homes with cul-de-sacs, nearby parks and some of the best schools in California.

There are big differences between communities such as Palm Desert, La Quinta and Indian Wells compared to Coachella, Desert Hot Springs and Thousand Palms. Then there are cities like Indio and who can forget Palm Springs. Each city has its own city council, characteristics, ordinances and rules. It is essential that you get it right the first time.

There are actually more folks living in the unincorporated areas (about double) than there are in any of the individual cities and we have seen a bit of a spurt in population growth since 2000 and it beat all the estimates. Luckily, things have slowed down now, making it a perfect time to get into that home of your choice. Indio is the largest city of the group with some 70 plus, thousand people, with Cathedral City trailing behind. Palm Springs and Palm Desert to great zip codes to live in have nearly 55,000 residents. The entire area has about 460,000 people now.

Please think very carefully about how you invest, so that you can have the right home, in the right area, so you can enjoy stress free, healthy, clean living in this beautiful Valley.
