Service to the consumer
I was reading Jonathan Greene's blog post " A Little Consideration!" and it inspired a few thoughts. In todays world of computerized checkout lines at retail stores, drive throughs, and self serve everything, many people in all forms of business have forgot exactly what service can mean to a consumer. I remember my first job out of high school bagging grocieries at a local store, and how surprised customers were when I would carry there carts out for them and load there cars for them! Wow, who would have thought about service? LOL. Many weeks I made as much money in tips from the customer as I did on my paychecks. It doesn't take very much to go above and beyond, the little thing count.
