Real Estate e-Cards

By
Industry Observer with No longer practicing real estate as of 2008.

I just received an email from Real Estate e-Cards and went to take a look at the site.  I thought the e-Cards were actually pretty neat.  The holiday one's are animated, so it's not just a regular boring email wishing someone Happy Holidays, or Happy 4th of July or Happy St. Patty's day or any other major holiday.  It's an email with a little something "extra" in it.  Plus they can then forward the e-cards on to other people they know.

Your picture, name and contact info shows up on all of them at the end of the card.  If people are forwarding these e-cards on to other people, it's another way to maybe make the phone ring if someone is looking to buy or sell.

Want to try it out?
Buy just one holiday e-Card for $49 and see the results for yourself. Love your clients' response - and apply that $49 to a 12-month subscription.

For a $199 subscription, you get:

  • holiday e-Cards for every major holiday of the year
  • a library of creative choices that's growing every day
  • unlimited use of as many e-Cards as you'd like for twelve months.
  • Send them to as many people as you want. As often as you want.

They also have e-Cards for listings

On the home page they state the following:

The end of virtual tours
Set to music, infused with emotion, listing eCards breathe life into your client's home. Compare your mini-movie to what's out there - realtor marketing programs that rely on outdated, antiseptic, periscopic virtual tours - and you win hands down.

Listing ecards sell you, too
Even when the property is long gone, you'll still have these valuable real estate marketing products - portfolio pieces to use in listing presentations that will catapult you head and shoulders above the rest.

Has anyone used these before from this company or something similar with another company?  What was the response you received from them?

Anyone have any other sites you could recommend that offer something similar to this?

83% of people surveyed by the greeting card industry say that they would rather recieve a physical card in the mail than an e-card.  I use a program that allows me to pick cards online, have them printed in my own handwriting, signed with my own signature, and them mailed with a first class stamp...all for about 85 cents per card (and that includes postage).  It has built in contact manager, so I can load all my clients into it and do all of this from my office on my computer.  There is a fee to join, but its been a lifesaver for me.  There are 1000's of cards to choose from...and you can even insert gift cards, gifts, even a personal check from you to your reciever.  Its amazing.

Becky,  Thanks for this info.  I just checked out the site.  Interesting.  I've been using JacquieLawson.com cards for a while.  Great holiday and all occasion cards and so well done.  It costs me $8 a year of 14 for 2 years and can have 100 addresses.  Granted, I can't do real estate cards on this site.  Will definitely have to check out the one you mentioned more in depth.

Mana, you're welcome.

RECR, "83% of people surveyed by the greeting card industry say that they would rather recieve a physical card in the mail than an e-card."  Was this survey done by asking the general public, or those that were buying greeting cards?

Marc, I have heard about that one you're using.  I will go check it out.

Jennifer, will do some checking.  Thanks.

Prudential Real Estate offers hundreds of e-cards to their agents.  It is amazing how you can use these e-cards and track your results.  I send just listed ones to local real estate agents.

I am planning to send most of my cards as e-cards this year. On one hand I kind of like the traditional mailed cards but when you consider the cost and the fact that most go into a landfill I just can't justify sending regular cards.
