Active Rain, I don't mean to be unfaithful, but it's your fault.

Real Estate Broker/Owner with Cornerstone Business Group Inc 0225086119

Active Rain, I don't mean to be unfaithful, but it's your fault.  When I Success through bloggingstarted with AR, just about a year ago, I didn't know much at all about blogging, SEO or how to use the Internet to produce more business.  I was a true blogging virgin.  I had used the Internet for a gazillion things but not for my own business.

Ironically, after a year of digging through the AR archives, listening to AR webinars and reading great blogs by some really smart Rainers I can't hardly find time to blog or comment.

There has been a lot of discussion about why the level of comments have declined.  I can say for me, "AR, it's your fault!"  Because of all the great things I've learned here I'm getting too busy to keep up.  I also realized that the great content here could be used for more than my real estate business.

I took the tools and techniques I've learned here, and I have used them on my second company They have produced the same results.  More business!  Of course, more business means less time.  It took 5.5 hours to get to my office today.  A lot of that was because of calls which caused me to divert to other locations on the way.

Many of the calls that distract me come about because of AR and blogging.  Now, I get calls every week.  Sometimes, I get multiple calls in a single day.  Spread that over two companies, and that's a lot of calls, and it's all Active Rain's fault.

AR has educated me to the point that I've become more efficient.  Not only have I become more efficient, but I've become better known around the country which as led to more opportunities.  I received an email this week from an online publication asking if I would consider blogging for them.  So, if you don't see me around the AR water cooler, it's your fault Acitve Rain.

Truly great post!  I love to read your posts and I do tend to agree with you about the reduction of posts and comments, Active Rain has made a jump in my business this past year and it has a lot to do with the great tools and education that AR has to offer.  I was also a blog virgin about a year or so ago and AR has catapulted me into a whole new level!

Thanks for sharing.

Glad you are having such wonderful success!

The one thing that I have not done myself is to slow down and learn the ropes of how AR really works and what I can do to maximize my results on it. Thanks for the reminder to slow down, read, "listen" and learn. Then work it to the max!

Mike- It is AR's fault but, you did the work and you deserve your success! Congrats! The Spring Market is on fire here, having trouble keeping up as well.

Mike, I've had a couple of attempted referrals that have failed for one reason or another from AR, but I love this place. The amount of learning and freindships are incredible!

I haven't been commenting as much either. I'm one of those that has to READ the blog post before commenting and it takes TIME.

Where ever you are, that's where I'll be!

So glad to haar your business is thriving.  However, it would be a shame if the members of Activerain were unable to see your posts because you just didn't have the time.  I hope you'll be able to schedule at least one post a week.

By the way, not only is your post well written, but I think it's graphically awesome, too.

Mimi, when I got to AR, I learned that there were so many important things that I didn't know about the use of the Internet.  It has been a gold mine.  Happy Sunday!

Thanks, CT.  It really has been a great help to my business.

Lyn, I've definitely gone back to the same topics more than once.  8-)

Benjamin, that's great news.  Keep it up.

Sylvie, that has become my pattern too.

Susan, when you do, you'll be surprised at how much info is on here.  It's loaded and it's really good.

Gene, I feel a little like that too.  Some days I'm just keeping up.  Glad to hear you're busy.

Amanda, that's great news.  I trust it will spread.  8-)

Thank you, Bob.  I do enjoy writing them.

Lots of learning here, Eric.  I just had my first referral go the distance.  Most haven't, but this one was ready, willing and able client.  Many of the others are people who just couldn't buy under any conditions.

I do that myself, Cynthia.  Also, if I really don't have anything to add, I might move on without commenting.

Marie, I hope to be able to keep up the pace.  It's just one more goal in my life.  I like it, and I do try to  do it daily.  Happy Sunday.

That would be great, wouldn't it, Elisa?

Great post... thanks. In the time that I have been actively using AR, I have learned that all you have said and more it true about its use. I don't "love" writing blogs, but I find that every week it gets a bit easier and my interest in writing continues to broaden.

Excellent, Charles.  I found that the local blogs really get the attention with Google.  So, I've incorporated market reports, local events and businesses to my blogging this year.  So far so good.

Great point and blog! I don't think AR is ever going to worry nor should they! The skeptics can have fun pontificating all they want, AR stands on its merits which happens to be the best merits on the web.

If you want to be seen, go to AR. If you want the best Real Estate Information, go to AR. If you want professionalism at its best plus transparency, go to AR.

ActiveRain is Real Estate!

I would only recommend you stay far-way form RE Website that pretend or guess on home values and if you see anonymous top contributors running the board,,,,,RUN FOR THE HILLS, THE ZIDIOTS ARE COMING!

It really does, Jairo.  I've had a fair amount of trouble keeping up lately, but I know how important it is.  So, I do it late or early.  Sometimes I'll do three or four over the weekends.  It's really important to keep fresh material on the web.
