1SGT, I don't know if this is good or bad news. We have a brand new 2nd Lieutenant (Marine type) just out of the academy. I will forward this to him. He is heading to Pensacola for flight training in January. We think he will be there for two years. Then who knows where. If he heads your way in the future,I will let him about you.

Frank-This rate is ONLY for Hawaii.  Here is the link: http://perdiem.hqda.pentagon.mil/perdiem/bah.html

Just put in the duty station zip code, pay grade and year and it will give you the BAH amount.  Check out 2007 and 2008.  If he will be getting significantly LESS in 2008, he might want to see about signing into his Florida duty station before the 1st of the year so he can get the 2007 rate.  Before making any major moves though, he or you can contact the gaining duty station to find out what their policies are for signing in and whether or not he will be entitled to the 2007 rate.  There is always a possiblity that he might sign in during 2007 but since his report date on his orders said 2008 they might not give him the 2007 rate.  I dont see the Corps screwing him like that but its best to check first especially if he will be missing out the New Years holiday with his family and friends.  Good luck and let me know how it turns out.
