Best resources for new teams?

By
Real Estate Agent with Copeland Group Realty

Hello all,

I just started a team at my Keller Williams office in Austin and am in the learning process of building a successful team. I still need help! We have some internal resources at Keller Williams, such as the KW Base Camps, but they are only given once a quarter. I have already purchased training and operations manuals from Keller Williams, Star Power, and David Knox.

What would you say are the best resources for the various aspects of setting up a new brokerage or team? I say brokerage because it seems as if I'd be able to use resources that a new broker would. Any help in any of the following categories (and others) are appreciated!

  1. Recruiting and Hiring
  2. Training & Coaching (scripts, etc.)
  3. Operations

So far, I've found job descriptions and processes from Star Power useful.

I've also enjoyed the scripts and training provided by Knox.

Thanks. I have formed the team, have buyer agents, assistants etc. I understand that I need to train, so purchased some products. I wasn't sure if there were other tools, gurus, etc. who I should pay attention to. So far, Knox and Star Power is what I use most.

Dee, Congrats on your new team! I also agree with Anthony that Millionaire Real Estate Agent by Gary Keller is great! I have also gained ALOT of knowledge from the KW Connect sessions on KW.com for associates, as well as several of the free downloads that are available. There is a downloadable version of Your Business is Your Database as well.

Dee,  That is great that you have started a new team!  I have a small team in Toledo Ohio. Myself as the Team Leader, my husband Bob and my son Brett are both buyers agents. We are soon to hire another buyers agent my daughter in law Nikki.  My assist Kimberely is priceless.

We are strong believers in Howard Britons Star Power group!!  Their archived material online is fantastic.  The only other advice is Systems, Systems, and more Systems. Get every little thing you do on paper in check list form.  Continually update those list.

Good luck to you and your Team!!
