What is the best blogging platform for me? Part II

On Monday I posted a blog pondering the question posed to you above. Specifically, I focused on what Blogger, WordPress, and Tumblr offer that ActiveRain does not (or vice versa). Later that day, Twitter bought a rival "micro-blogging" service that competes directly with Tumblr.

Posterous, the micro-blogging platform Twitter announced the purchase of the other day, is a service that I, honestly, had not heard of until this week. Simply put--it looks like Twitter is expanding, allowing both its famous 140 character posts, along with an expanding plethora of content. In essence, Twitter will be able to compete with the other services, in my opinion, as a blogging platform--in the future. Posterous and Twitter are still two seperate services despite the purchase of Posterous by Twitter; when they are fully integrated, Twitter will have an advantage over all of these services by already having a huge user base.

Gosh, I really wish I understood what you just said. But alas, a platform is usually made of wood in my world, and Twitter is a sound little birds sometimes make.
