Mr. & Mrs. Seller - Your Yard Is Important If You Want To Sell Your Home!

By

If you are selling your home I am sure your agent has talked with you about the things you need to do to get your home in selling condition.

You have decluttered, cleaned until you can't clean anymore, painted and put in new carpet,  This house is ready to sell...right?  Wrong!  You forgot the landscaping - oh no!

Think of what the buyers are seeing as they drive up to the front of your home.  If you haven't paid attention to your yard the buyers think that your don't take care of your home.  I know that isn't a fair assumption, but many of them will think that very thing.

So, get out the lawnmower on a regular basis and keep the shrubs nicely trimmed.  Colorful flowers in the flower beds and in pretty flower pots by the front door will be noticed by the buyers.   If your front door looks faded and worn, it needs to be painted and it will help to make the buyers first impression of your house a good one.

Your backyard plain patio should be staged just like the inside of your home.  Even a small patio can be really attractive with an outdoor rug, a small bistro set and a few colorful flower pots filled with flowers.

The impact of a well manicured yard and a flower pot or garden full of bright colored flowers is always positive.

Lisa - It is simple and it really helps.

Sharon - It does make a positive impact on the buyers and it is such an easy tip.

Absolutely. You can't say enough about curb appeal. Some buyers won't even enter a house if they don't like it from the outside (which I find so rude).

Jill - I have had buyers refuse to go into a home because of the curb appeal.  It really is important.
