Welcome to the City of Grayson! Below are essential services, information and resources that will help you get settled in the community.

LOCATION OF CITY OFFICES AND BUSINESS HOURS:

The City of Grayson City Hall is located at 475 Grayson Parkway, on Highway 84. All City business is conducted during the hours of 8:00 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. Monday through Friday; (closed for lunch).

SCHOOLS:
Children who attend public school in the Grayson area attend:
Elementary Schools -- Grayson Elementary, Cooper Elementary, or Pharr Elementary
Middle School -- J. P. McConnell Middle School
High School -- Grayson High School

Grayson Cluster Welcomes Four New Schools
There will be two new elementary and two new middle schools opening up in our cluster between 2008-2009. To check out the locations of these new schools, go to the GCPS website under "Planning for our Future".

POLICE INFORMATION:

The Gwinnett County Police Department is open 24 hours a day. For Emergencies, call 911. For non-emergencies, call 770-513-5100.

FIRE DEPARTMENT INFORMATION:
The Gwinnett County Fire Department has a station in Grayson. For Emergencies, call 911. For non-emergencies, call 678-518-4800.

VEHICLE LICENSE INFORMATION:

GRAYSON PARK:
The pavilions at the park are available at no charge. The smaller pavilion is on a first come - first served basis. However, you are able to reserve the larger pavilion. Contact the City Administrator at (770) 963-8017 for available dates and times. A "Rental and Use Agreement Reservation Form" must be completed. For more information, click here.

GRAYSON SENIOR CENTER:

The Grayson Senior Group meets the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 11:00 a.m. for a covered dish luncheon and meeting. The Grayson Senior Men meet every Friday at 7:40 a.m. in the Senior Center for coffee. Contact Lawrence McFall at 770-554-9697 for more information.

UTILITIES:
Sanitation Service

Sanitation Service within the Grayson city limits is provided by Robertson Sanitation Trash pick up is Thursday. Please have your containers by the curb by 7:00 a.m. Yard debris pick up is on Friday. Yard debris must be in brown paper yard debris bags or is a plastic container no larger than 32 gallons. Limbs must be bundled and tied no longer than 4 feet and weigh no more than 50 pounds. Yard debris will ot be picked up if it is in plastic trash bags.

You may call Robertson Sanitation directly at 770-867-4367 for customer service issues such as missed pick-ups or to request a large item pick-up, but you must call City Hall for billing questions and container requests.

Robertson Sanitation only observes three major holidays: New Years Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. As a rule, collection will run one day late if any of those holidays fall on a weekday. The normal Thrusday pick-up will apply for all other holidays.

To start new trash service call 770-963-8017, for customer service issues call 770-867-4367. All residents must use the City approved Robertson Sanitation.

LIBRARY INFORMATION:
Grayson has a brand new library! The Gwinnett County Public Library system has 12 branches throughout Gwinnett County. Hours are Monday through Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.; Friday and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; and Sundays from 12:00 to 6:00 p.m. Persons living within Gwinnett County may obtain a free library card.
