Town Home Sold Lake Forest Huntsville Alabama 35824
My client just closed on this very nice, new Lake Forest Huntsville Alabama townhouse...the last available town home in Lake Forest. There were eight offers to contend with, but we got there first and thanks to the hard work of the listing agent it was a fairly smooth transaction...I say smooth because this was a foreclosed property that could have been anything, but smooth.
All that aside, the real point of what I want to say is that the real estate market in the Huntsville Alabama area is very active. Buyers, in my opinion are off the proverbial fence and taking advantage of current low rates and well priced homes. Absorption rates for Lake Forest clearly shows that it's still a buyers market, but I believe that because Lake Forest was over built a few years ago in anticipation of higher sales due to buyers that would be transferring to the area because of BRAC...that is more of a contributing factor rather than home owners who glut the market listing existing homes. 16 homes have sold in Lake Forest since the 1st of December 2011 with 12 of those homes selling for well over $200,000.
