Have you ever shown property from the back seat of a car? If you haven’t, you really need to try it. The buyers and I spent about 7 hours together yesterday looking at houses in Franklin, NC. The buyers drove, sitting up front getting acquainted with the area and I had the rare luxury of the entire back seat in their brand new vehicle with the awesome paint color of “Dark Cherry”. Very cool.
Anyhow, I got to take in our incredible mountain sights from my back window seat and had the rare pleasure of being able to consider the other half of the back seat as my own private office. Finally, a place to lay the folder…spread out the MLS flyers…a cup holder for my coffee and a place for my keys, camera and phone. Now…that’s the life!
It was perfect - delightful conversation - spontaneous chuckles, giggles, guffaws and belly laughs - and since it ALWAYS boils down to all about me - photo ops.
Even if I’m the driver I’m pretty observant about the scenery around me but it doesn’t compare to what gets noticed from my back seat office. I really got a chance to appreciate the unbridled freedom of expression some of the homeowners in Franklin were sharing with passersby.
