Dena Land? What is or where is Dena Land you may ask? For some of the local people, like me, as I was growing up, we would always refer to the Altadena and Pasadena area as "Dena Land". Some of the people would say, "So, what's going on in Dena Land this weekend?" Mind you, Old Town Pasadena didn't exist back then. But, we did have the Hastings Drive-In Theatre over on Rosemead Blvd. It was converted to a walk-in/sit-in theatre (when 2001 A Space Odessy came out) and a few restaurants moved in and the Mann's Theatre (now Trader Joe's) was there boasting multiple theatres.
Oh, how times change and now there's so much to do -with so little time!
