Do Not Get Your Feelings Hurt! (Perspectives on Real Estate and More from a Home Staging Pro)
Ever since I earned my Accredited Staging Professional designation and became a part of the Real Estate industry, I’ve gained a new respect for Realtors®. There is so much more to the job than listing a property with the local multiple listing service. Yes there are some real losers in the business, but that is true of any industry.
When you are ready to sell your house, it is critical that you work with an Agent that has a great marketing plan. Part of the marketing plan should be Home Staging. You see, a great Agent knows that presentation is second only to price when it comes to selling your home. Do not get your feelings hurt if your Agent suggests Home Staging to you. It is not that your house is horrible; your agent just wants to make sure buyers to see how great it really is. Your Agent also knows how difficult it can be to depersonalize a house that it has meant so much to you and your family.
When an Agent wants to discuss Home Staging with you or introduce you to a Home Stager, it means that Agent wants to present your house at it’s very best to Buyers. They want to help you sell your house as quickly as possible and for the very best price possible. Isn’t that exactly what you want your Real Estate Agent to do?
