We had a taste for some Vietnamese or Thai food over the weekend so while on a trip into Houston to visit an Elderly friend we found some In the shadow of the Galleria Mall area at a place cleverly named "The THAI Restaurant (shrewd marketing I think) You search for Thai Restaurant and they would come up first. This one was an unexpected pleasure!
Driving down Westheimer Rd this secluded spot is easy to miss! It is in a strip center that has been beautifully refurbished.
When the appetizer arrived we knew we had found something that was a cut above! The artfully carved carrot and peppers garnished the lovely spring rolls. You can see the presentation in this photo.
We had elected to split an entree, which turned out to be the best Pad Thai we have ever had!
The entire experience was delightful. Thai food was totally unknown to us when we decided to give it a try about 16 years ago. And this Pad Thai was somewhat different again. It had chunks of sauteed vegetables in it. We've never had it like that. Fantastic!!
Now it is a part of our weekly plan. Healthy, fairly priced and very satisfying, the food is always a treat!
