Spring is here! Happy Spring to everyone! When I think of spring I think of baby birds chirping, flowers blooming, warmer weather, longer sunny days and ohh yeah spring cleaning. Spring is a time of rebirth, renewal and regrowth. It is the perfect time to look at the year you have had so far. Are you on track to make it a great year? Have you met the goals you set for this point in the year? Are there things you need to change in your mindset or maybe you need to re-adjust your game plan? I mentioned Spring reminds me of Spring cleaning which might make you think of cleaning out your house. Well it can also be the perfect time to clean out your contact list. Sometimes agents are hesitant to contact their database because they do not have a reason to make contact. The first day of Spring is a perfect reason! Send an e-mail out wishing your contacts a Happy Spring. You can add a list of spring cleaning items for cleaning up your house, then mention it is the time of year to list your home and buy a home as more homes will be on the market. You should get some responses and that will help you to see who is still active in your database. You may also have some e-mail addresses that are no longer good. For those contacts that respond you will want to keep in touch with more frequently. I see this as a simple way of figuring out whom to spend more time on and put a star by them!
Nice post and invitation to "declutter" to welcome Spring...my weekend calls!
Woo Hoo another reason to stay home, I always set this day aside to get started and depending on weather finish up the next day.
Very SPRINGLIKE idea, thanks for sharing! ... and such a pretty post. I agree - its a time for renewal - and clearing out ... SO, now its off to the check the LISTS ... LOL, Have a wonderful day - Marianne
What a wonderful blog about Spring cleaning. I shall be doing some email database decluttering and renewing some contacts and friendships today.
I have a few on my to do list, and already have cleaned up my contact list. Cleaning out the garage is my major project in the next few weeks. Not my favorite pastime, but very necessary. Have a great week!
it is always great to reach out to our past clients... I know people that send out Happy Arbor day notes... the Off the radar days are typically better received since you dont get lost in the typical holiday notes.
Li-Thanks
Joyce- I hope you were able to get everything done
Marianne-Thanks. Good luck with your lists!
Sarah- Thanks. I hope you received some responses.
Michael-That is great...you are one step ahead! Good luck with your garage. My husband and I just finished that.
Robert-Very true! You usually get a better response by doing something unexpected.
Elizabeth,
I have totally started cleaning and decluttering there is just something about spring that does that in me naturally. Thanks for stopping my by blog I appreciate the support!
Yolanda- Your welcome...thanks for your support! I hope you are clutter free very soon.
Elizabeth - Indeed you're right. It's that time of year to depersonalize, de-clutter and just plain toss out the junk we seem to collect during those winter months! We normally do this the end of April or beginning of May due to the howling spring winds we have that bring so much dust and dirt into the house. It's on our To Do list and you can bet Debbie won't let me slack on helping out. Then I have my man cave (garage) I am excited to rearrange yet again! Good post my friend and by the way welcome to the Rain! I hope to see more of you. Have a great afternoon in all you do!
Hi Elizabeth, Happy Spring to you! This is a great post with excellent tips. Thanks!
John- We have a lot of dust here in TX as well. We recently moved here and I'm surprised how often I need to dust compared to anywhere I've lived before. Thanks so much and I am sure you will be seeing more of me! Enjoy your Friday and weekend!
Linda- Thanks! I hope you are enjoying your spring so far.
