The recently-released movie Juno, written by Minneapolis author Diablo Cody, has already received three Golden Globe nominations and is on its way to being widely acclaimed by audiences worldwide.
Juno is directed by Jason Reitman, who has directed Thank You For Smoking, Consent, Uncle Sam, Gulp and In God We Trust. The film Juno is about one young woman's struggle to deal with an unplanned pregnancy. Actress Ellen page stars as Juno MacGuff.
Twin Cities natives Joel and Ethan Coen have also received directing and screenwriting nominations for No Country for Old Men. The Golden Globe Award winners will be announced on January 13, 2008.
