The Hour Is Fast Approaching In Brampton, Ontario, Canada
Well 'the hour' is fast approaching in a lot of participating areas, from London to Sydney, New York to Singapore, but Brampton is preparing by reminding residents, Earth Hour is back Saturday March 31 at 8:30 p.m.
Set a reminder if you must but join in as we all turn off our electrical devices and lights from 8:30 to 9:30 to save energy and save our planet.
Earth hour began in Sydney, Australia in 2007. Last year in 2011, 133 countries joined in, 13 of them joined for the first time.
This year will be a little different with 'I will If You Will' challenges. Will you dare to save the planet?

This is a great idea. Anyone can participate! Just turn your lights off March 31 from 8:30 to 9:30 pm. EASY ENOUGH!
Easy enough to do.... Hey go outside and IF all the lights are out the stars should be amazing. Count me in and thanks for the heads up!
Thanks for the reminder! I love Earth Hour. It's fun to turn everying "off" and enjoy the glow of candlelight and silence.
Al and Peggy thank you for the reminder, but TV's don't count, right??? :)
Al/Peggy...appreciate the reminder. Putting this on my calendar so I do not forget.
Peggy, It was great talking with you earlier today. What a coincidence...I also spoke with Joni today and then I see she reblogged this post.
8:30-9:30 on March 31st, lights will be out here in Baltimore.
Margaret
It is easy enough Joni and we hope a lot of people just flip the switch!
Glad to hear you are in John and you are right with all the lights are out it would be an amazing starry night!
Yes, Sally and really good reason to just chill out! ;)
LOL, sorry George, but yes the t.v. counts!!
That's a great idea Anita, because it is just an hour and we don't want to be late!
It was great talking to you too Margaret, very enjoyable. Would love to get back to Baltimore and do a meet up ;)
Great post, Al and Peggy, I guess I have been to busy to even by aware Earth Hour is approaching. Thanks for the alert, I will spread the word.
Howdy and morning Al and Peggy
Al and Peggy my friends, its sure not at all a hard thing for folks, to at least give up an hour of using all electrical devices and lights. It sure would be mighty nice if everyone would actually take part.
Have a good one
Dale in New Hampshire
We knew you would be involved Chris. Yes please spread it around.
It truly would be Dale. Even unplugged items you don't really need. If we all went around our homes and unplugged unnecessary items every day it would help.
