Brace yourselves ... on March 30 Facebook will automatically switch over your business page to their new timeline format! Whether you like it or not. You are probably seeing notifications at the top of your profile/page that you have the option to switch over to the new timeline.
Once you have upgraded to the new timeline, you will have some ability to dress it up. "Once you upgrade, you'll have 5 days to play with your timeline before other people can see it. You can use this time to add a cover, fill in life events, and star important stories. You can also choose to publish your timeline at any time by clicking the Publish Now button at the top of your timeline. So you might want to go ahead and switch over now so you have a few days to play with it before it is forced upon you. Note: You won't be able to see your friend's timelines until they upgrade and publish."
Your page is organized with different sections covering your life. Various boxes will be arranged with your photos, items you've liked, comments you've made, your statuses, your apps and more. Another area will allow users to click on a year and see what was happening with you at that time. Check out Facebook's synopsis of Timeline here. You can see what an example page will look like.
Your Business page can now include a cover tht represents your business, pin important posts, different admin security levels and more.
Reminder: Be sure you're happy with what you share and to whom by reviewing your privacy settings located in the upper right corner dropdown menu.Change can be hard, but embrace it! Facebook is a free application, and maybe it'll be better than before! :)
