Sea 40 located at 40 East Avenue in Lewiston Maine (next to where the old Ames department store used to be) offers much more than great, fresh Japanese food: it’s a show!
My colleagues and I, at The Maine Real Estate Network, had lunch here this week and was so much fun! These multi-talented chefs’ are master entertainers as well! I’m not sure how the chefs concentrate on the technical aspects of cooking while they engage the crowd sitting around the Hibachi, throwing knives in the air, spinning eggs on a spatula, launching food and saki in the mouths of patrons …
This is clearly a higher end restaurant and a welcome addition to the twin cities of Lewiston and Auburn. People are raving about this new eatery everywhere you go! It certainly has a “Wow” factor we haven’t seen in a while. A friend of my said “You have to check out the bathroom!”
The décor at Sea 40 is as tasteful as the food. The environment has a very high energy and classy vibe! They are open 7 days a week serving lunch and dinner with meals priced from $13-$30. I believe they have “specials” and offer take out as well. If you don’t have time for a meal at the Hibachi in the back room, the front dining hall offers a variety of quicker entrees, sushi, and sashimi.
The residents of Lewiston-Auburn and even the Augusta region are giving this smart new restaurant rave reviews! I couldn’t agree more. The food was very good, service was friendly, and the show was entertaining. So if you need to go out to eat and the company is shall we say, a bit dull, bring them to Sea 40: you won’t be bored! I would highly recommend Sea 40! It’s a great addition to our little Maine community … just one of the many things that makes Lewiston-Auburn a great place to live and work!
