Youth Baked and Canned Goods
The baked and canned goods division of the Walker County Fair is open to any youth living in Walker County. The baked goods classes include cakes, cookies, pies, yeast breads, candy, decorated cakes or miscellaneous baked goods. The canned goods classes include pickles, relishes, jams, jellies, fruits, vegetables, juices, salsa and miscellaneous canned items. Completed entry forms must be turned in with a $5 entry fee by 5 p.m. Friday, March 16, to the County Agent for 4-H and FCCLA sponsors for FCCLA entries. Entries for the canned goods are to be delivered to the Committeeman's Room of the Fairgrounds between 4 and 7 p.m. Thursday, March 29. Baked goods entries will be turned in between 7 and 10 a.m. Friday, April 6, in the main building.
