A Reminder to Eat!

A Reminder to Eat!

Yesteday's post...How Do You Stay Calm?   brought a simple, or so I thought, concept to staying calm and in control. It was a  reminder to EAT!

You read that right!

                                         More than a snack

Blood sugar can fall creating mood changes, such as irritability, anxiety, restlessness, anger, or confusion. How do you think this will affect your clients?

Couple this with the stress of a move and you can easily see a possible emotional outburst. Remind those in stressful situations to grab a snack or ask if they had lunch. This simple concept of eating may be all you need to complete a smooth transaction.

A Reminder to Eat!

Margaret ~  It was always a best practice to have a "buyers survival" kit in my car.  Cooler with water, juice & pop.  Then baggies with granola treats, raisins, pretzels, grapes in the cooler, and of course some chocolate and hard candy and some with no sugar added.  It worked better to have the baggies because people don't like to make noise when getting a treat in the car.  If you have the baggie they can snack in quiet... always after the 3rd house we had to have something to drink and snack... makes the house hunting much easier!

Carra, What fun going house shopping with you!  Great idea to have a buyer's survival kit along. Also comes in handy as an agent's survival kit.

Cindy, Couple that not eating with a stressful situation and you could be a not so happy camper to be around!

You are so right and if you don't plan on packing a snack when the hungriest hit, you probably won't eat correctly!

Margaret, you are so right.  If I don't have snacks in the car, I frequently ask if clients need to stop for a snack or beverage.

The link to your post by Patricia brought me back to your page and reminded me that I keep nutrigrain bars in the car with me all the time. Like so many of us I slip out the door in the morning having had nothing and before I know it 4 o'clock has rolled around. My hubby doesn't really appreciate my being around if I'm in starvation mode. So for both of our sanities I keep those snacks on hand in case the above situation arises. Luckily I don't really live where there is a lot of fast food staring me in the face and I'm thankful for that because it becomes such a quick fix.

This is so important!  It's always smart to be prepared with some healthy snacks in your bag at all times.  Without a healthy snack, you are more likely to grab a candy bar or drive-thru burger.

Barbara-Jo, Thanks. Common sense is not always common.

Margie, Good idea to keep some healthy snacks around.

Sharon, So true. Easy to eat right when you are NOT so hungry.
