Reaping the harvest in 2008

My real estate career actually started this year.  I appraised properties, worked in the REO department, and taught some real estate classes at a local community college.  But this is my first time in production as a real estate agent.  I started at Keller Williams Realty in May of this year.  Oh, the things I have learned since then.  Not to mention the mistakes I have made.  But you know what, it is all good.  I have been sowing for the past eight months.  I am looking to reap in 2008.  I have a goal and business plan.  My database now includes over 200 clients, system is in place and a marketing stragtegy.  I am feeling good about myself and what the future holds.   I would say the biggest hurdle is dealing with people.  My mentor said something to me that struck a nerve.  You need to know when to be cold and not let people string you along or take advantage of your kindness.

Qualifying the prospects will help you determine the motivation.  If they're hot-don't let them get away!  If they're warm-continue to cultivate until hot.  And if they're cold...don't spend much time but work on warming them up....you never know when the time will be right.
