WELL, I GUESS MOST PEOPLE ARE RUNNING OUT OF BLOG MATERIAL!!!!

How can I tell? What makes me the expert? Nothing except when you start reading about "farts" and "shit" and dirty jokes, and drunken party goers, you can be sure that the person or persons writing the blog has nothing else to say--it's pretty simple; doesn't take a genius to figure it out.

Even the person responding---what a waste of time and good blogging space. I often wondered what happens when the holidays roll around. What do people talk about in the BLOGISPHERE? I know that there is very little business to discuss; even in good times, the holidays are slow where information sharing goes.

That leaves the subject of family and memories and nostalgia---all things which the faint of heart can not quite bring themselves to share. The average person would rather keep all that "stuff" to themselves. But, why not lend a little emotion to the blogisphere? Why not share a story that you would ordinarily never talk about?

Come on; why not?

I took a break from all of the year end closings I'm working on and posted a blog about having gas (which I rarely talk about until this week), does that count? LOL! If we're gonna blog about nothing, let's at least have some fun with it, right?  I figure it worked for Seinfeld.

There really is a ton of excellent information still being blogged--I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. :)

Oh, I don't know about that, Paula.  I've been having as much fun as anyone lately, but believe I've managed to squeeze out some solid content as well.  If you scroll through the blogs of any "party goers," you'll find plenty of good stuff.  Much of the revelry can be chalked up to a show of support for the return to the boards of one of our members.

AMANDAThis is so funny! I got responses from 2 people that I had no idea that they had blogged about this ----.

It seems like I wanted "true confessions" butt I didn't! I am absolutely lying on the floor right now laughing because I thought I would hear some really thoughtful, heartfelt stuff and here I am getting apologetic excuses for blogs that I wasn't even referring to!!!<:o)

PAUL  Now, you, I did actually get to see some of your blogging last night but I thought that was ok.....see my remarks above. It is too too funny...I like your solid content statement---talk about controlling yourself!!! Do you have any good ole stories of home--hokey or not/???

(I'm still trying to get a sweet tale of early learning or something that fits the holiday mood---anything like that out there?)

I wouldn't be offended even if you would have been referring to me, Paula.  In fact, I should probably walk around with a sandwich board apologizing in advance for the shenanigans I am likely to pull at the drop of the hat.  As for stories from home, I've got something for you.  It doesn't relate to my childhood, but the pictures of my kids being mesmerized by Christmas lights in this post are priceless.

Hope this is what you were after.  If not, sorry for shamelessly throwing my link in your blog.

Oh, yeah....it's pretty funny to see people who run out of stuff to talk about due to a slow market for one...no business for another and blogging away. (I am guilty of that!  shoot me!)  I know you are having fun so just throwing it back. I often wonder where people with families and young children get the time to blog so much....  but farts ?   Oh, goodness. I know one thing...women don't fart..they pass gas :)

You are so funny Sally!!! I didn't read that Fart post but it was so funny because the 2 people who responded right away to my post were like apologizing and I didn't even know that they had written something like that!! I literally sat here laughing so hard my dog thought I had lost my mind!! It was like a seance or something, you know? Like I was "calling" up the spirits to admit they had  "done wrong" when I wrote that post.

Actually can't even remember what post it was that motivated me to write mine!!! Ah Well..it's so good to laugh:)

No kidding....funny how you write something and everyone starts admitting or taking it personal like you were writing about them. In any case, I'm glad I'm in contract and took out other buyers today....I can say I blog and have business too lol!

That's terrific! Glad to hear you are so busy. It is very slow here right now---with the weather we had today, I just stayed home. Tomorrow is another day! Mondays are usually a good day to re-invigorate your business so I plan on doing just that...

Anyway, I am so fascinated by people anyway and to be on the web blogging as I am now is really eye-opening! People are absolutely hysterical. Who would have thought that I would meet so many wonderful and interesting people here!...and you Sally, are one of the best!......Good luck with your deal/customers!

Hi Josette--you really didn't miss it; I think the funniest potty talk was right here! No kidding; my post was based on a post that I read 2 days ago that was so raunchy that I had to comment on it! It was one of those that went on and on about things that we normally don't see on here! There was also the post where there was a "welcome back party" which in and of itself was hysterical because there were 347 responses and that one went on and on and got pretty colorful as well...so my post was in response and I immediately got 2 comments that were from people that I didn't even read!!! and I was sure that I had unleashed a monster that was like a confessional---I was on the floor as I pictured getting posts from everybody who had participated in both posts with their reasons for getting so loose on the web!

All I really wanted was to open up some dialogue about the holidays and softer interaction--you know, how about sharing something that you normally don't share? Well--that started the whole thing.....

Anyway---it was so fun! Thanks for reading and commenting!

And Gayle, as far as you not reading those kinds of posts---I really didn't go seeking them out! They just "evolved" into this kind of "I'll show you mine if you show me yours" kind of dialogue that just never shows up here on active rain.

It was funny and fun and maybe a good sign that 2008 will be one of the better years for us all!

Any good memorabilia you want to share? I am looking for nostalgic, subtle and short...if you want to share it.

I have to agree with you for the most part, but I do get a lot of my visitors to my website and who call me and say they felt they really got to know because of my blogs. I write about everything, family, friends, clients, but I do stay away from the jokes that are rude and crude. But, that is because that just isn't me. But, if someone is looking for that type of cliental then maybe putting those jokes up gets them business just as a regular blog about real estate does me.

Just a thought,

TODD I think you are on to something! That may be what motivated the first blog I read....but then again, it was so spontanious that I think it wasn't given much planning or forthought.

Either way, it was humerous to some degree and made for a very funny exchange with everybody.

I just read your website--what a great one! You have covered everything so perfectly. Nothing was left out and if I lived there I would certainly use your services to buy a home!!!

Thanks for your input and.....Have  Happy New Year!

PEGGY,Isn't that true---there were a whole lot of kids out there that day!!!

This is something I love about AR...there is a spontaneity that is always in the content. Most posts do have very serious, well thought out subject matter, but then there are the posts that can just open a dialogue that sets off an "explosion" of responses...I love those, don't you?

Thanks for your response!
