Newbie to the Blog

Hello Everyone,

I am a Realtor in New Jersey and we jut had our Triple Play Realtors Conventions Dec 4,5,6. I am BIG on technology so I took a class called Blogs, Podcasts & Other Multimedi the facilitator was Amy Chow excellant individual. I wish I had more time to spare to attend classes but I also had a booth to run with my fellow colleagues.

I am hungry for knowledge for the " Blog " world is all NEW for me. I have been heairng about it for some time now...and it was far time for me to wake up and smell the roses. Anything you would like to share I would be so grateful. I am so excited about my new path I am about venture.

I am big on technology because it does NOT take a rocket scientist to figure out that is where our industry is for getting us in front of the consumer. This is why I chose a technology class and a Home Staging class which was awesome as well.

Question: right after I post this blog I will be typing ' My Blog" to publicly post tonite. Should I post to the Consumer only? The Realtors only? or both? Whatever your answer please share your WHY?

Where you post will depend on the content. If you are posting market conditions, listings, area information, etc, you'll want to post to Consumers. If you are posting about personal life, real estate technology, asking questions, etc, you'll want to post to Professionals.

Also, once you get going and join some groups on ActiveRain, you'll also have the option of posting to multiple groups. Please be aware that groups are organized for different reasons and geared towards different topics. So, you'll want to only post to groups that are related to the content you are posting. For example, a group that discusses real estate technology is probably not the appropriate forum for a post about humor.

Have fun with it whatever you do.

Weanona - You have made a good start by joining the newbies group - use the search function to search out other groups that may interest you or provide an educational experience. There are groups full of freebies there are groups for those addicted to active|rain there are groups that are just for fun. There are groups about text messaging. The list is almost endless.

Check out the profile of some of the members who's posts you read that you like down the left side are the groups they belong to If you like their posts you may well like the groups they post to. There are all kinds of people here willing to share time, knowledge, and experience.
