I am so pleased to announce that Bethesda has been named a top job growth city through 2020. The Bureau of Labor Statistics recently announced the results of its study of 100 of the largest metropolitan areas throughout the United States for potential job growth until the end of the decade. The Bethesda/Rockville/Frederick area placed second only to the DC/Arlington/Alexandria section of the DC metro area for highest projected job growth in the entire country. That's great news for our part of the Mid-Atlantic!
For the study, the BLS took into consideration the labor force, industry employment, occupational employment, education and training and replacement needs. Due to a slowing population growth and most of the baby boom generation hitting retirement age, employment levels overall are expected to increase by 14.3% and as much as 21.7% for those jobs where a master's degree is necessary to enter. Health care and social assistance industries are expected to create the most jobs, with professional and business services following closely behind. With some of the most prestigious medical facilities in the country located here (the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, the National Institute of Health and the National Cancer Institute among them) and home to the headquarters of many large government and corporate companies, Bethesda is perfectly poised for the health care, social assistance, professional and business services growth expected by the BLS.
When you partner Bethesda being named a top job growth city through 2020 with the low interest rates, great prices and variety of homes to choose from, now is the perfect time to buy a Bethesda area home. I know how great this area is to live. I would love the opportunity to show you what it has to offer personally. Just contact me for an appointment today.
