Halloween in March? One might think so with the people who will be attending the 10th Emerald City Comicon, the largest comic book and pop culture convention in Pacific Northwest, coming to Seattle, March 30 – April 1. Many of those attending will be wearing outfits of their favorite characters from the comics, television and movie shows that will be represented at the Washington State Convention Center in Seattle.
Among television and movie stars in attendance will be Adam Baldwin (Col. John Casey of Chuck, and Jayne Cobb in Firefly and Serenity); Julie Caitlin Brown (Na’Toth in Babylon 5, as well as guest starring on Star Trek: The Next Generation, and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.) and Christopher Judge (who played Teal’c in the Stargate series – original and spinoffs). Other stars include George Takei (Star Trek); Wil Wheaton (Star Trek: The Next Generation), and Edward James Olmos (re-imagined Battlestar GalacticaI, and Stand and Deliver) and several others (The Walking Dead).
Of course, since “comic” is in the name, there will be a plethora of those who write, draw and otherwise produce the myriad of well-known comics that are available, as well as those who are breaking into the business.
For those who would rather spend the weekend meeting with/ competing against others in their favorite games, they can do that as well. Primary games being: Heroclix, Magic -the Gathering, and Settlers of Catan.
