Freebird Lynard Skynard and real estate

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams Realty

You ever take notice that the market is kind of like the lyrics to Freebird by Lynard Skynard?

"If I leave here tomorrow
Would you still remember me?"

To many real estate agents were  banking on the market forever staying the same as many of them have not seen anything else.

"For I must be travelling on, now,
'Cause there's too many places I've got to see.
But, if I stayed here with you, girl,
Things just couldn't be the same."

The market has moved from place to place in the US with double digit appreciations that roamed both of the coasts penetrating portions of the interior.

"'Cause I'm as free as a bird now,
And this bird you can not change.
Lord knows, I can't change. "

Here is the down fall for our agents. Never say you can't change for if you fail to change you going to go away with the market you long for.

Bye, bye, its been a sweet love.
Though this feeling I can't change.
But please don't take it badly,
'Cause Lord knows I'm to blame.

Each agent is responsible for their own success or failure, don't go blaming others for your short comings. Because if you are not willing to do the work, you are not willing to reap the rewards.

But, if I stayed here with you girl,
Things just couldn't be the same.
Cause I'm as free as a bird now,
And this bird you'll never change.
And this bird you can not change.
Lord knows, I can't change.
Lord help me, I can't change.

So remember the key is to adapt to the changes in your immediate environment. You need to be as mobile and as agile as the market. There is a difference between winners and losers, remain stuck in your ways sink, no swimming. Change and be fluid get educated, learn to earn because the cream will rise to the top.
