Boerne Independent School District, sits in the transition zone between the scenic Texas Hill Country and San Antonio to the southeast. It is a predominantly rural district with an enrollment of about 6700 students. Boerne Independent School District currently has five elementary schools, two middle schools, two high school, and two alternative schools. According to BISD website “Boerne Independent School District, in cooperation with the parents and community, prepares its students for lifelong academic success, responsible citizenship, and sound character.” 9 out of 10 Schools in Boerne Independent School District are rated “Great Schools” according to the website www.Greateschools.org.
Also, located inside the City of Boerne is Geneva School of Boerne which is a classical and Christian private school serving students in grades K-12. The school is just northwest of San Antonio in the beautiful Hill Country of Texas and is located on 32 beautiful acres just south of Boerne proper with easy access from IH-10. Geneva serves 526 students. According to Geneva School of Boerne’s web site, “The Geneva School of Boerne exists to provide a classical education from a biblical worldview, to equip students for a lifetime of learning, service and leadership to the glory of God.”
Boerne Independent School District, is located 25 minutes north of San Antonio in the Texas Hill Country just off Interstate 10 West. Boerne Independent School District, serves the City of Boerne, the southern part of Kendall County, the City of Fair Oaks Ranch, and parts of northern Bexar County. Approximately 6300 students are enrolled on nine campuses including two high schools, two middle schools and five elementary schools of the Boerne Independent School District.
