Was I Not Paying Attention??

By
Industry Observer

Was I not paying attention?  Lately I've been doing some whining about too much rain, snow in March, frosty mornings, when will it be spring, I need sunshine etc etc etc.

But I noticed on my morning drive to work that apparently while I've been busy whining, spring has in fact arrived in Olympia!

Spring flowers

I saw a mama deer with her fawn as I headed out of my driveway.  Then a cheery blue jay perched on a tree branch.  And then - ahhhhh, trees bursting into blossoms of pink!  Yay - I think spring is truly arriving (even if it IS raining yet again today!)

It's raining here in the Napa Valley but we need more. Only about 2/3 of normal so far this year. The one benefit was the poppies are in full bloom. cheers cvc

You are echoing my sentiments exactly. The five days we spent in Juneau, Alaska recently gave us the most sun we've seen in a while. Good grief, hey I'm whining again. I do notice flowers in the yard and new buds on trees. I will try to cheer up. :) Have a good weekend Nancy.

Hi Curtis - those poppies are lovely!  And I will be happy to send some of our rain your direction if you want :)

Debb - usually it is sometime in January that I get a little whiny about the weather - not March.  So I am trusting that the start of a new month tomorrow is also going to be the start of more spring weather (and less need to whine for both of us!).  You have a good weekend too!

Good Morning!  Yes, the signs of spring are all around us. We had an easy Winter here in Virginia but those blossoms are still a welcome sight!

Hi Kathryn! Spring blossoms are always such a welcome sight. And this morning, we actually have some beautiful sunshine going on. Not sure how long it'll last, but wow it feels good!!

Our flower festivals that were supposed to open this weekend have been delayed because it seems there weren't any flowers.
