Chilliwack train crossings

By
Real Estate Agent with Re/Max Nyda Realty Inc

City of Chilliwack and CN rail have negotiated whistle blowing.

CN trains will not be blowing their whistles at the following three crossing any more, Yale Road East, Annis Road and Lickman Road effective from the 15th of November. These crossing all have warning lights gates and safety signals now.

For those of you that like the sound of a train whistle you will have to go a little further to hear it now. For the balance of us it will be nice not to hear it in Town.

Clark, here in Montgomery we have several train crossings behind million-plus homes.  Not everyone appreciates the train whistle, although I certainly like hearing it in the distance!

We have an intersection here that is with in a 1/2 mile of our house, has warning lights, cross bars and still every time they seem 5:30am is a great time to blow that horn! I would love to see if they could stop it here.

Your town got smart!
