Photography - A Study in B/W - The Foggy Series by Jeanean Gendron--We were at the Coast near Eureka CA this last September and enjoyed an early morning adventure on Samoa Island. The North Coast gets a lot of fog and so we were delighted to have a very foggy day to explore what use to be a thriving lumber processing mill. The Island felt lonely and forgotten and you can feel that in the photos that I took on that day. I am exploring Black and White photography for the moment and so here is my latest work.
I am currently working with Photoshop Elements and then iPiccy to resize...you can see that the gradients are somewhat messed with and so I will have to learn to resize in Photoshop. I am using RAW files that are huge so that I can get good prints. These have been resized for AR. I am to begin working on a Macbook Pro with Photoshop CS5 and so this is short term. Both Elements and Lightroom are more focused on photo management and have limited photo editing features. It will be nice to move to PS CS5. I just would not buy it for Windows.

I love collage work and so I have created a dynamic collage with this collection. The idea being that you can shape and change it to fit any space or wall. This is the type of work I want to do. A significant number of photos in a series that offer different shapes and sizes. Ever the marketer, I am always looking for my photos to compliment each other as in a living collage. The cool thing about this series of work is that what was in my mind came into being. I like that.
