Budding Rose in the forefront a housing neighborhoodMurphy TX Water Restrictions Ease

Homeowners in Murphy TX will be happy to learn that the water restrictions imposed by Stage 3 Restricitons are going to be eased a bit. The recent rains received in North Texas has elevated our local lakes namely Lake Lavon and Lake Ray Hubbard to levels at or above their normal range. Although Stage 3 Restrictions still do apply a once a week watering will be allowed for homeowners effective in April 2012.

  • Homeowners whose address ends in an odd number (1.3.5.7.9) may water on Mondays only.
  • Homeowners whose address ends in an even number (2.4.6.8.0) may water on Wednesdays only.

All watering is prohibited between 10 am and 6 pm. Even though the restriction has been eased to accommodate for weekly watering the wasting of water should not occur. Every resident should do their part to help conserve water.

In the meantime, the roses and other flowering plants/bushes thank you!

Teral this is really great news.   I do hope the entire restriction will be lifted soon.   With lack of snow this winter I am not sure what t0 expect this spring or summer.

Hi Teral! Yeah! But it would still be wise to not plant anything new. It could happen again, unfortuneatley. I do low water usage plants and low maintenance. Have a good weekend.

We are happy to be able to water weekly but still praying for the rains to keep the lakes full. Thank you, Jennifer for your thoughtful post.

Drought resistant plants would be wise. Good thoughts, Cathy, thanks for sharing.
