Did they flush?

I just pulled up a property for sale. Looks like a wonderful house. Certainly a beautiful bathroom.

But what's wrong with this picture? There are 6 (oh so important) property photos available and this is one that made the cut.

Bathroom

Please take a second to close the toilet lids before taking your next bathroom picture. Because I forgot all about the house when I saw this photo. Instead I just wonder - Did they flush? (Or actually looks like a he - Did he flush?)

Seeing this picture reminded me of a post from Rick & Ines - Toilet for Sale, House comes with it.

Just a quick, but important photo tip - close the lid. Also remember to be aware of your surroundings. Don't photograph lingerie drying in the laundry room, dirty dishes in the sink, or dead bugs in the carpet. I have actually seen all of these examples. They are not fictitious. What's your favorite real house for sale photo?

I see this more than you would believe. My favorite is when the agent takes a picture of themselves in the bathroom mirror and still puts it in the MLS.

At least the photographer is not seen in the mirror.  I have seen a couple of these as well as reflections in windows of the photographer.

James, Scott - Great minds think alike - That's funny - I can actually think of a property for sale right now where there is a picture of the agent in shorts and a t-shirt reflected in the mirror - yet another indication that the property has been on the market for a while :) Since I don't think shorts and tshirt are december weather... unless you live in Miami.

Hi Angie - before I got past your picture, I was already thinking of Ines' post on toilets.  You do have to wonder what on earth that person was thinking to include a picture like that.... !!

Hi Angie - thanks for the mention....I think we did enough ranting on that other post, some of the comments were hilarious.  I do wonder what some agents are thinking......CRAZINESS!

LOL, your right on with this post, if people just took a bit more time and took a good look overall before walking in the home...ok, enough.  take care, good post.
