Rock Hill, South Carolina is a lovely city and a great place to call home. One of the loveliest areas is Glencairn Gardens. It is home to 3,500 plus azaleas in addition to other plants, shrubs and trees. Glencairn was started in 1928 as a backyard garden and is situated on 11 acres. It is an English style garden. Residents and visitors like to stroll along it's meandering pathways or relax on one of the many benches or swings and just enjoy the beauty of it. It is located near downtown and Winthrop University. On nice days, some of the college classes are held in the garden. There is something in bloom from spring through fall.
