Danny Bonaduce goes green in Seattle
It didn’t take long for morning radio host Dante “Danny” Bondauce and his wife Amy to embrace the sustainable Seattle lifestyle.
The Bonaduces moved to Seattle in the fall of 2011 after Dante was hired by KZOK-FM to host the 5:45 – 9AM radio show. The popular radio personality is probably best known for his 1970s role as base guitar playing Danny Partridge in the weekly television sitcom “The Partridge Family.”
Dante and Amy didn’t specifically start out to buy a green home, but liked the location and style of homes on Queen Anne Hill built by award winning green builder Martha Rose.
After learning more about the new home’s unique features they were both sold on the design, energy saving features, livability, and its indoor thermal comfort.
Some of the features that went into the design and building of the hi-performance multi-certified green home:
- A tight building envelope
- Pre-wired for solar panels and electric car
- A fresh air heat-recovery-ventilator, which brings in fresh air 24/7 while exhausting the stale
- Vegetated green roofs and rain barrels
- Water saving features like low flow fixtures and dual flush toilets
- Super insulation package
The transaction was put together by two Seattle Active Rain members. Listing brokerAdrian Willanger and selling broker Sam DeBord.
