I'd like to share with you a few tips in regards to looking for a lender when making a Home Purchase.
Most people will start by looking for a lender offering the lowest rate thinking this is the only thing that matters.
It is important but be aware that most lenders are very close in rates being offered and only differ by a small percent.
I suggest asking a few more key questions that could make your experience more positive.
Looking at other factors in a home purchase is Key!
In a lot of cases lenders that are offering lower interest rates are not local and their focus is on refinances.
I really suggest looking for a local lender that focus is primarily purchases. and has local underwriting, local processing and local loan originating.
if something would happen in the process you would want it to be easy for someone else to pick it up.
The next thing I would suggest is picking a lender that's main focus is on purchases and that is their primary business.
They should do a prequalification with you using an automated system with the underwriting to validate.
They would also assist you during the process by being the monitor for you with deadline such as inspections and appraisal, docs, to insure your financial investment is protected through out the home buying process.
