Texas blue bonnets and Stryker the search dogIt was a beautiful day yesterday here in Central Texas.  The bluebonnets are in bloom everywhere.   I couldn't resist taking this picture of our Search and Rescue Dog, Stryker.  She was a good girl and sat while I snapped away trying to capture the beauty around her.   This picture was taken on Old Route 2243 across from HEB.

Carol,

What a great picture and I agree with Paula.  Blue bonnets always make me think of Texas, I am assuming it is the Texas flower---or is the yellow rose of Texas?  Happy Tuesday, A

Paula:

Thanks from both Stryker and myself.  This is usually the most wonderful time here in Texas.

Alexandra:

Blue Bonnets are the state flower and this is the time to see them.  They are everywhere.  They blanket acres and acres of fields.  Cars stop on the highways for families to take pictures of their kids and the blue bonnets!

Hi Carol, Realy enjoyed the bluebonnets ( it has been a lot of years since last living in Dallas) and Stryker as well. Thanks for sharing!

Bluebonnets are one of my fondest memories from a trip across the great state of Texas many years ago. Thanks to you and Stryker for sharing.
