Coming Home Is ALWAYS Where The Heart Is

Barney DogI had this topic discussion TWICE in recent days and one other thought about

Coming Home Is Always Where The Heart Is

The first involved a new buyer with a home with a contentious seller and she wondered if all his bad Karma from living in the house previously would affect her and the husband's future enjoyment of the new place. I reiterated THEIR HEART would make the home happy. The other was from a dear person who found HOME coming back after staying apart from someone for awhile and reconnecting. It was all about the heart and now feeling safe and comfortable again. The other thought was visiting my out of state parents and while I had HOME in another location my Mom used to always say welcome HOME.

It is so true that coming home is WHERE you place your heart. It could be a park bench, a ride on horses on a trail with that special person, a meeting at a diner and looking into the eyes of someone who has your heart, or in my visual as a reminder for you FROM BARNEY THE DOG WAITING ON YOU, you are coming home from work and you see THAT FACE.

Always remember HOME is always about the HEART.

Gary,

Home is always where your family is, ie - your heart.  Different folks will live different lives in the same homes.  However, we've had sellers go for the offer from the Buyers where they felt that the buyers would enjoy the home as much as they did over a possibly higher offer.

All the best, Michelle

Gary - I remember coming from the vacation on the Black sea to the Arctic, where we lived at the time, getting to our apartment, opening the door, walking in and saying "We are back home". It was our home. It is wan't the nicest area or nicest climate, but it was where our hearts were.

Of course, as I grew older, calling Florida home is even more joy.

;-)

Yes, Gary. "Home is where the Heart is". My dogs are always excited to see me every time I come through that front door, even if I have only been gone a few minutes to the store.

A house is just a box, where we put our stuff, the more stuff the bigger the box.  Ah... but home is where the heart is!

Hi Gary,

I do believe a home is where the heart is. We sell boxes and people move in with their love, laughter and "stuff"..they bring their personalities, their creativity and they create memories :).

Love, love, love!! It is so, so true when you say, "It could be a park bench, a ride on horses on a trail with that special person, a meeting at a diner and looking into the eyes of someone who has your heart..." You defined "home" perfectly.

Gary, everything you said is so true, I personally could be happy almost anywhere as long as those I love, those who have my heart,  were there too. I came by to be sure that your home is O.K- after hearing about tonadoes in Dallas today- I hope it is.

I just love the sentiment behand this post.  And it does put things in perspective for people who put off buying a home trying to time the market.  A home is much more than a purely financial endeavor.

Michelle: It is interesting on the sellers choosing the buyers they think will most make a 'home' out of it. Many different lives in the same home I so agree with that.

Jon: Amazing even in the less than perfect setting it was home for you. Daytona's not bad now : )

Tim: That sense of being where you belong, I think you nailed the concept right on.

Tammy: Love and Laughter, two special choice words to describe heart. I like that very much.

Jerry: Isn't it fun how dogs get excited about you when you just return from down the block?? They are GREAT.

John: Not about the box, or the stuff, so true John, but about the LOVE.

Dorie: Love, laughter, personalities all make up what the heart is all about. Pets, family, just the little quirks everyone has. SO IMPORTANT to "heart."

Peggy: You know it when you FEEL it Peggy.

Cathy: That never go home thing I experienced traveling to a boyhood home that I was at from around age 7. It was weird cause it looked so much smaller. I know that about old homes too where you have "moved on."

Laura: Barney is reminding EVERYONE where home is. Where LOVE is.

William: Hang your heart. SUPERIOR words about love. So true Bill.

Marge: Fur faces and tails wagging, warm family Marge. It doesn't get any better than that.

Karen: You zeroed in on home as a "feeling." That is a perfect way to sense it Karen. Thanks for that.

Mary: Happy on the park bench as I said, WITH THE RIGHT SPECIAL PERSON. I was ok at my house with the Dallas tornadoes (thank God) but we all paid attention to the sirens. Thanks for your concern.

Kathryn: A house is much more than the walls and the monthly payment. We remember this with the eyes lighting up with the buyer and certainly their emotional words about the new place.

Kristin: 3 cats + 1 hubby.... you are set with those with the noses pressed up the glass window waiting for you.

Gordon: Treasures stored up in heaven are the best ones I agree. The unspoken parts of real estate.... good phrase.
